SpaceAliensCM 1.0
This contextual menu plugin fixes files type/creator based on the files extension and the settings in Internet Config. Based on SpaceAliens, part of the InternetConfig prog kit, by Quinn "the eskimo".
Space aliens stole my icons. What should I do? Just control-click on the documents and choose "Fix type/creator".
Just drop the plugin on your system folder and restart your macintosh. You should now see "Fix Type/Creator" when you control-click on a document. If you choose this and the document has an extension (eg. .html or .jpeg) then the plugin will ask InternetConfig for your choice of application/type code and will change the type/creator of the documents.
If an alias is chosen the original item is changed. If the documents don't have an extension, nothing happens. To change the settings you need to use internet config, or the internet control-panel, and choose "file mappings".
